“People from all walks of life want financial security and peace of mind. In most cases, they just don’t know where to turn for help. No one else can do it for you. Let us help.” -Debbie Gerlicher, LiSA Initiative
A Commitment to Financial Education
Due to a lack of financial education in this country, most people today don’t have even the most basic understanding of how money works. It’s not a subject taught in schools. It’s rarely discussed in the home. As a result, many people find themselves ill prepared to handle their personal finances.
LiSA Initiative believes a financial education is the right of all Americans. We’ve committed our time, energy and resources to push financial knowledge to the people who need and want it.
One of the ways we’re accomplishing this goal is through our LiSA Literacy Project. This innovative financial education campaign provides financial education for adults and children.
At the heart of LiSA Literacy Project is its private-labeled curriculum developed in partnership with the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC). The curriculum is nationally certified for schools, churches, and other organizations. There are two tracks available – one for adults and another one for students, pre-K through high school.
LiSA Initiative maintains a Financial Literacy library on this website. Check out the Blog where you’ll find articles, speeches, statistics, short films, as well as free online courses and resources.
